U.S. Department of State...As a complement to my Economic Integration of the Americas class, today I began an internship across the street from GW at the Department of State. I'm interning in the Economic Bureau (EB). More specifically in the Trade Policy and Programs (TPP) office of Bilateral Trade Affairs for Europe and the Western Hemisphere (BTA/EWH). A lot of the work that goes on in the office deals with Free Trade Areas (FTAs) and the office works closely with the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR). Click here for a list of FTAs.
